Rev. Darrel Boson is a well-known pastor, teacher, leader, and youth mentor, who has devoted his ministry and life to spreading biblical truths and the power of the resurrecting blood of Jesus Christ. Rev. Boson successfully presents the good news of the gospel in a radical way that is practical yet transformational for all generations.
Pastor Boson accepted his call into the ministry at Outreach Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. John Hart in 1995. While continuing ministry development as the Youth/Young Adult Director at Outreach, he also acted as a member of the Board of Directors for Southeast Inspirational Choir and Preparing Holy Disciples (PHD) Youth Ministry to enrich the lives of youth and young adults in the community. In 1999, Rev Boson became the Youth Pastor at St. Matthews MBC under the leadership of Rev. Leroy Lacy. In an effort, to demonstrate the God of another chance, Boson also established a Prison Ministry team of fourteen volunteers at St. Matthews that regularly visited and counseled local prisoners. Boson later became the Assistant/Youth Pastor at Galilee MBC under the leadership of Rev. Byron D. Wyatt. Through his local church and community, Rev. Boson implemented an annual Youth/Young Adult month that show cases their individual and collective talents in an extraordinary environment for God's Glory.
Rev. Boson extended his reach to spread the word of God by founding King's Kid Apparel that designs clothing and brings awareness to the honor and blessings of being a child of the King. The exposure of the clothing line resulted in expanding King's Kid into a non-profit (501 3c) organization that mentors youth and domestic violence victims while offering support to those that are experiencing life's transitions. Boson, along with his wife Tina, obtained their Christian Counseling License to further develop their knowledge and ability to assist others in need of spiritual guidance.
In July 2015, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas elected Rev. Darrel Boson as the Senior Pastor. While leading the congregation, Pastor Boson desires to develop a ministry that promotes spiritual growth, motivates, and challenges ALL to effectively apply the word of God in their lives. It is the strong belief of Pastor Boson that effective ministry requires both patience and diligence to carry out God's Plan.
Pastor Darrel Boson is married to Tina, his wife and partner in ministry. They are the proud parents of three: Donovan, D'Monica, and Braxton; in addition to a host of god-children and previously mentored youth and young adults.
